The Sunday School Ministry of Mount Zion Baptist Church, 309 Wolf St., will hold an “all you can eat” buffet prayer breakfast on April 21, 8:45–10:45 a.m. The cost is $8. Children ages 5 to 10 can eat for $5 and children under 5 are free. The Rev. Trinity Episcopal Church, at the corner of College Avenue and William Street, will hold a spring indoor–outdoor yard and bake sale April 20, 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m., rain or shine, with collectibles, books, housewares, clothes, small appliances and electronics, garden items and much more. Proceeds benefit the church’s community outreach program.

The church will also hold the third Saturday of the month Special Family Service For All God’s Children on April 20 at 5 p.m., designed especially for children with autism, PDD-NOS, ADHD, ADD, Down Syndrome or any other developmental or physical challenges. 540/373-2996;

Riverside Church Fredericksburg, 3461 Fall Hill Ave., will host a community charity auction on April 20 to benefit the Grace Oughton Cancer Foundation, Heart to Honduras Mission and help defray medical expenses of the Dobson family, who recently lost 13-year-old James to cancer. Items include autographed athletic items, movie tickets, ATV, crossbow, symphony tickets, oil changes, bedroom suite, restaurant gift cards and much more. Christ Lutheran Church, Ladysmith, 17470 Center Drive, Ladysmith Business Park will host a prayer retreat April 28, conducted by the Rev. Arthur Umbach, Director of Spiritual Life and Faciliator for the Southeastern District, Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. Rev. Umbach will also be the guest preacher for the 9:30 a.m. worship service.
