Catherine Gray and Amanda Eclipse are Orange High School's valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, for 2006.

Catherine Gray is a graduate of the Blue Ridge Virtual Governor's School. She is the daughter of G.W. and Marty Gray of Unionville. Cate is an active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, serving as an acolyte and lay eucharistic minister and participating in five youth work mission trips. She attended a summer study program at Oxford University with a focus on English literature and creative writing. For the past four years Cate has been active in theater at both Orange County High School and Woodberry Forest School. She will attend the College of William & Mary in the fall, and major in English literature and theater.

Amanda Eclipse is the daughter of Ernest and Donna Eclipse, and lives in Locust Grove. She participated in the Blue Ridge Virtual Governor's School Program, which focuses on technology and science. Amanda has been active in her community, serving as a member and secretary/treasurer for the Orange County Office on Youth Council, member of the Key Club and helping the youth within Orange County. She has been a member of the girls varsity tennis team since 2003, playing as one of the top six players for the past two years, and participated in Rapidan Crew from 2004-2005. Amanda will attend the College of William & Mary and plans to major in government and international relations.
