Jean Hoyle

Jean Childress Hoyle, 69, of Orange passed away Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. Born Feb. 16, 1937, in Chase City, she was the daughter of the late Bertha Blanton Childress.

She is survived by her father, Charlie Roy Childress of Chase City; her husband, Gene Hoyle of Orange; daughters Diane H. Dulin and her husband, Michael S., of Farmville, Vivian H. Vestre and her husband, Eric F., of Spotsylvania County, and Karen D. Hoyle of Orange; her sister, Annette Tharpe of Chase City; and grandchildren Stephen G. Dulin, Jessica L. Dulin, Jordan B. Vestre, Amelia C. Vestre and Misty Hoyle.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006, at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Orange with the Rev. John Farrar officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date in Woodland Cemetery in Chase City. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Orange, County Rescue Squad, Box 446, Orange Va. 22960.
